Terms of use

Last updated: October 9, 2026

These terms apply to your use of nrep.courses (the "Site"), a marketing website for the National Registry of Environmental Professionals ("NREP"), operated on NREP's behalf by its authorized marketing representative. By using the Site you agree to them.

What the Site is for

The Site gives general information about NREP credentials and lets you check, in a few questions, which credential may fit your background. It is not the application portal. Applications, fees, examinations and certification decisions are handled by NREP through nrep.org and are governed by NREP's own policies.

Eligibility results are indicative

The eligibility check is a guide based on the answers you give. It is not a decision. NREP reviews every application against its published requirements and may ask for transcripts, references or proof of experience.

Fees and information

Fees, exam details and requirements shown on the Site are taken from nrep.org on the date above and may change. The figures on nrep.org at the time you apply are the ones that apply.

No guarantee

Holding an NREP credential does not guarantee passing an examination, employment, promotion, a salary level, or acceptance by any particular employer, agency or regulator. Requirements differ by employer and jurisdiction.

Trademarks

NREP, National Registry of Environmental Professionals, Registered Environmental Manager, REM and the NREP shield are trademarks or service marks of NREP and are used on the Site with permission. Other names belong to their owners and are used only to describe or compare credentials.

Acceptable use

Do not submit false information, other people's details, or automated or spam submissions, and do not try to disrupt the Site.

Liability

The Site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, neither NREP nor its representative is liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: customerservice@nrep.org, 814-680-6232, P.O. Box 2099, Glenview, IL 60025-6099.
