Privacy policy

This policy explains how information is collected and used on nrep.courses (the "Site"). The Site is a marketing website for the National Registry of Environmental Professionals ("NREP"), operated on NREP's behalf by its authorized marketing representative. Credential applications, examinations and certification decisions are handled only by NREP through nrep.org.
What we collect
- Information you give us when you use the eligibility check or contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), country and state, your answers about education, experience, field of work and when you plan to apply.
- Information collected automatically: the page you came from, campaign tags in the link (for example
utm_sourceor a Google Ads click ID), your browser type, and an approximate country derived from your IP address. We do not store your full IP address with your enquiry. - Cookies and similar technologies: see "Cookies and advertising" below.
How we use it
- To tell you which NREP credential fits your background and to send the information you asked for.
- To have the NREP team contact you about your application, study materials, exams and renewals.
- To measure which ads and pages bring enquiries, so we can improve them and spend the advertising budget responsibly.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent spam or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to NREP credentials.
Who we share it with
- NREP, so its team can answer your enquiry and process an application if you choose to apply.
- Service providers that run the Site for us under confidentiality obligations: website hosting and form storage (Cloudflare, Inc.), advertising measurement (Google LLC) and NREP's marketing agency.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Cookies and advertising
We use Google Ads to show NREP ads on Google Search. If you accept cookies in the banner, Google may set cookies that record that you visited the Site and whether you completed the eligibility form, so we can measure ad performance and, where permitted, show you relevant NREP ads later (remarketing). If you decline, these cookies are not set; the Site still works fully.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing this Site's data in your browser. You can also manage Google's ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info.
Email, phone and text messages
By submitting the form and ticking the consent box you agree that NREP may contact you by email and, if you gave a number, by phone or text message about your enquiry. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP to a text, or write to customerservice@nrep.org. Message and data rates may apply.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become an NREP applicant or member, in which case NREP's own records policy applies. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other US states, or the UK/EU), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of "sale", "sharing" or targeted advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of targeted advertising. To make a request, email customerservice@nrep.org with the subject "Privacy request". We will verify your request using the email address you used on the Site and respond within the time the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Security
The Site is served only over HTTPS and enquiries are stored in access-controlled systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
The Site is intended for working professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
